Clarke Griffin is a fictional character from the American post apocalyptic young adult science fiction novel series by Kass Morgan, The 100, and television series The 100 on The CW. Clarke is one of the main characters in both the trilogy and the television series, where she is portrayed by Eliza Taylor. She first appears in Morgan's first novel, The 100, and later in the pilot episode of the television series, as a prisoner on a space colony charged with treason. Clarke was one of the original hundred delinquents sent down to Earth to test if it was inhabitable again after a nuclear apocalypse destroyed it a long period prior.

THE 100. Clarke was born in the year of 2131 and raised on the Ark to Jake and Abigail Griffin. Before her imprisonment, Clarke's father discovered that the Ark space station was running out of oxygen, and had an estimated 6 months worth left. He shared this information with Clarke and planned on going public with the information, only to have Abigail report him to the Chancellor in fears it might scare the public after the Chancellor ordered him not to. He was later 'floated', an act in which he is put in an airlock room and the oxygen is released, thus killing him. Clarke acting as an accomplice was imprisoned for treason instead of being 'floated', because she was under the age of 18. Because of her status of prisoner she was considered to be expendable by the council and was volunteered by her mother to be sent down to Earth to test the air to see if it was livable again with 99 other delinquents.
GROUNDERTHE WANHEDA. klark does not have a home nor a clan, she bares no mark so that her skin showed she had no favor or alliances. she helped people, traveled from territory to territory, village to village, doing what she could to heal. most knew that she was the commanders lover, which kept enemies at a distance. others knew that any slight against her might cause them lives in the next battle or season. her title left her name out of the mouths of the trikru, calling her theirs was almost an insult since she did not hesitate to help their enemies as well. her mere existence was a contradiction to the traditions and customs that they lead, which usually left her alone.
HIGH SCHOOLTHE STUDENT. Clarke Griffin is a high school student from a wealthy family. While she wants to pursue art, her family expects to her follow in theit footsteps towards a career in science and health. she is constantly pushed by her mother and socital expectations to be the best, join clubs, do extra work for future college applications. she rarely lets loose. she is captian of the debate team and vice president of student government.
COLLEGETHE STUDENT. Clarke Griffin is a college student who is majoring in biology and starting pre-med. Her year ( freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior ) can vary by request.
NATBLIDATHE SACRIFICE. klark was never meant to be heda, she never wanted to be anything more than a healer like her mother. she was taken into the azgedian palace at the age of seven, after her mother was killed by nia for hiding her birthright. it became apparent to the royal family that ontari’s devotion and early molding, along with her skills, made her the better candidate for the heda azgeda needed—– the heda that nia wanted. the two nightbloods were as different as night and day. although klark and ontari were both taught politics and attended rigorous training, they did not share trainers or teachers. the expectations for klark were much lower and in turn, so were the severity of punishments and torture. it was all agreed that should the conclave come, klark would die by ontaris hand. until then, she was simply a weak alternative should anything happen to the superior nightblood.
MARVELTHE DOCTOR. clarke grew up in new york, her mother was a surgeon and her father was biomedical engineer. everything she had ever done was right on track from her undergrad to med school to residency. she found her place in the ER and boy, was it different than she planned. her social life took a hit and her love life was filled with having to explain why she cant make it to dates or dinners because of a huge pile-up on the freeway. there was a lot of things she couldnt plan for when she moved to new york. she didnt know how she ended up with a grumpy fat bulldog in her manhattan apartment or superheroes at her door. all she can do is what shes good at and roll with the punches.
SUPERNATURALTHE CIVILIAN. clarke never believed in god, she didnt have that luxury with her upbringing. everything had an explanation, everything had a cause and effect that went beyond the realm of magic beings. her mother was a doctor and her father was an engineer, it didnt surprise anyone when she finished her residency and started as an ER doctor. thats when things got weird, animal attacks that didnt make sense, bodies the coroners wrote off, accidents that didnt have all the pieces. she kept notes of these attacks, talked to coroners and nurses, state patrol and sometimes even the FBI rolled around in her ER. she never learned how to let things go.
SHERLOCKTHE AMERICAN. clarke's life was never as simple as she wanted it to be. she always tended to attract attention when she really didnt need to. she moved to england on a work visa to get away from the life she had in the states, a new hospital, a new flat, a start over. she was one of the top minds in her class and had an easy transition into her place in the ER. of course, nothing stays quiet. not when baker street is just around the corner.
GOTTHE LEGACY. clarke is the second child in the house of Hightower, younger sister to Caedmon Hightower. since her brother has left his responsibility and her mother can no longer have children, she has to take the responsibility of caring on the Hightower line and legacy with her father falling ill in the midst of war.
DC/MCU NON-HUMANTHE ALIEN. in DC, clarke is a Lalloran who has the ability to heal people through skin to skin contact, even those who arent human. she travels the galaxy as a nomad who helps people/planets. in mcu, clarke is a Lumina with a lifespan of a thousand years in which she has a clinic on Knowhere which helps anyone who comes in regardless of origins.
GV: FYWOFIND YOUR WAY OUT. [ REDACTED ] patient was employed at alexandria emergency clinic, after a year patient was approached by sterling argent ( see file ) needing stitches and a splint. one encounter led to the initial meeting with bellamy blake ( see file ), vice president for the sky gods mc. patient’s father ( see file ) was already employed with the sky gods mc. bellamy blake offered protection in favor for assisting sky gods mc with all medical needs on and off site. patient adds personal medical assistant to employment. patient adds sexual partner to medical file.
WITCHSOMETHING WICKED. clarke is a hereditary witch from a long bloodline that dates back to salem, known for their dark magic roots. her family calls upon blood magic even in modern day, though plays an integral part of high society. their position in the human world allows them to have access to souls, endless resources. clarkes magic is strong and is the only one in generations who is a natural necromancer. In the "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina" verse, she was moved to Greendale by her mother who asked that she be taken in by the Church of Night. Currently goes to the Academy of Unseen Arts.
PRIVATEHER PAKSTOKA. they called her wanheda. not because of the death marks nor because of her fighting skills, she carried a reputation with her once she had come of age and began her training as a healer. her grandmother and mother were healers among the trikru, known for their vast knowledge passed down from generation to generation, books from the old world inherited and taught, built upon and perfected. her work had become rumor among the battlefield and in days of disease, her love affair with the commander placed her in a position of power. a healer not for alliances but rather for all who were a part of the coalition. it was both a promise and a threat, those who did not abide by the commanders laws would suffer when war and death as upon them. she could bring people back from the dead as well as keep them there. the name ‘wanheda’ quickly followed her. and with that title, came her pakstoka.
